Latino Professionals in Aerospace (LPA) is the leading association and voice for professionals from across the Latino, Hispanic, and Spanish-speaking world. We are dedicated to opening doors and elevating opportunities for our members across the global aviation and space industries.
Founded in 2015, what began as an organization supporting Latino pilots has grown into a powerful community now also representing engineers, researchers, air traffic controllers, educators, astronauts — and every vital role in between.
Our mission is clear: to inspire, mentor, and develop the Hispanic/Latino community by advancing careers, amplifying voices, and increasing representation in every corner of aerospace. We inspire by empowering minority youth through aviation education, mentor by increasing access to global industry leaders and professionals and develop by providing financial aid and career opportunities that help Latinos thrive in aerospace. We are here to break barriers, build bridges, and ensure that the next generation sees themselves in the skies — and beyond.
With over 3,300 members across 5+ countries, including the U.S., along with 1,200 student members and 30+ local and student chapters, we are a diverse, global network united by purpose. Through mentorship, advocacy, education, and connection, we create pathways for success and innovation — from the classroom to the cockpit, from hangars to mission control — providing critical support for Latino professionals at every stage of their careers. Our impact is measurable — by 2024, LPA has awarded $2.4 million in scholarships, ensuring financial obstacles do not stand in the way of aspiring aerospace leaders.
Together, we’re building a stronger, more vibrant aerospace industry — where talent rises, opportunities grow, and everyone has a role in shaping the future of flight.
